The first is a 4 string fretted 32″ scale piccolo bass made of walnut and mahogany, and fitted with a single EMG-35DC pickup and BTS Control preamp. Les replaced the original Schaller 10/404 with an EMG-HB and then later moved to the DC. It also has a Kahler tremelo that was added by Claypool in the 1980s. in 1993 or so Les added a small piece of flamed maple on the headstock that is signed by Geddy Lee.

In this video of The Current, where The Claypool Lennon Delirium performed in 2019, you can see the Strymon Lex on Les pedalboard.
