We can see Matt playing this amazing drums during this show. He plays with this drum kit in the Arctic Monkeys world tour 2011/12

Matt Helders originally used a Zildjian A Crash/Ride in his earlier albums but then later changed to the slightly darker, Zildjian K Crash/Ride. This Crash Ride can be seen in music videos such as 'Arebella' and 'R U Mine', aswell as many live performances, particulary from the 'AM' era. Proof of this can be seen at 2:17 in the live performance of 'R U Mine' that is linked above.

Matt Helders artist page on the Zildjian official website lists the Zildjian 14" A Mastersound HiHats as among his gear.

In this interview, Helders says, "I use my TD-6K for practising and I’m convinced that I play better because it’s such a great sounding kit. It’s inspiring to play, and that makes me want to spend time working on things and just playing. I’m sure it’s helped me to raise my game.”

According to Zildjian's website, Matt Helders uses a 20" Crash Ride.

We can see this hi hat at 0.18 seconds. Matt play it in a concert in Glastonbury. Beautiful hi hat.

In this live acoustic performance of "Snap Out of It" by the Arctic Monkeys, Helders can be seen playing an LP Cyclops Jingle Tambourine at :51.

"Mic-wise, when it came to recording Alex Turner’s vocals (and the backing vocals sung by Matt Helders), Abbiss moved between a Shure SM7 and a Neumann U67 and U87. “If Alex was doing a vocal live, we used the SM7, ‘cause it’s really good at rejecting spill from anything else. The U67 they’ve got there is good and middly sounding. Matt never did his BVs as part of the live takes, he concentrated on his drumming. In this article featuring an interview with Arctic Monkeys front of house engineer, Matthew Kettle, they write "Currently, lead singer Alex Turner uses an e935 dynamic mic with cardioid pattern, while the backing vocals of bass player Nick O’Malley and drummer Matt Helders come courtesy of an e945 and 904 respectively."

Helders states, in this interview, that he used to own a Roland SP-303.
