Michael's primary guitar is a sunburst Fender Strat. This is his #1 since the beginning of the band and their first album Puzzle. While he's played other guitars throughout the years, his Strat is still his #1.

Michael Gurley can be seen playing live in the attached picture with his Mesa Boogie Mark ii combo behind him. He later switched to Dual Rectifier heads and a Mesa cab but I don't remember exactly when that was. (I think around the time of their 4th self titled Album Dada.)
