Moon Boots

Moon Boots features the Universal Audio UAD-2 Satellite QUAD Firewire DSP Accelerator in his studio, as seen in an Instagram post where he shares a recent studio upgrade.

Per a photo from this MusicTech feature dated Sept. 15, 2021, you can see Moon Boots with a Yamaha TX81z. It's the unit with the green LCD display that is currently displaying in "Play Single" mode. There are a few 1-unit 1980s rack units from Yamaha that have a similar style, but the location of the display and the buttons is such that it can only be the TX81z.

Per a photo from this MusicTech feature dated Sept. 15, 2021, you can see Moon Boots with a beautiful Roland MKS-70. Roland made several MKS-series rack units in the 1980s, but only the MKS-70 have the elongated LCD display, button config, and paint scheme seen here.

I have two stands of synthesizers on either side of me. I also have a rack unit with a Roland D-550, Moog Voyager, Yamaha TX81Z, and the Vermona DRM1, and some preamps, including the ART Pro, Warm Audio WA273, and a new UA LA-610. Last year I installed a patchbay which is helping me make the most of the preamps.
