Description
Immerse yourself in the unmatched vintage audio experience with the Universal Audio LA-610 Mk II. This single 2U rack-mountable unit is a perfect blend of 1960s-era tube preamps and compressors, with a modern twist to meet today's recording needs. The classic 610 tube mic preamp and T4 opto compressor come together to deliver the rich, full-bodied warmth and richness that defined '60s-era recordings.
The LA-610 Mk II's tube mic preamp, based on Bill Putnam's original 610 design, offers a colorful, dimensional sound, capturing vocals, acoustic instruments, drums, and any sound source with stunning realism and depth. The T4 opto compressor, descending from Putnam's original designs, provides smooth, musical dynamic control, allowing you to tailor the perfect amount of compression for any track.

Had some weird experiences with this
This overall seems really good but you need to sync the Gain of the Interface with your DAW so that it wont clash with the bass and Kicks

the 610 is really about tracking live instruments, and most of all vocals... not that its not cool for dance music, but it excels at helping tracks stand out in a dense rock band situation. want to kick some ass with it? run a synth into a guitar amp and mic it up thru the 610 for a standout lead line with a little room on it.
