Norman Westberg

In the photograph Norman is holding one Fender Telecaster and one Telecaster style guitar that both seemed to be customized. They both only have one humbucker at the bridge. In every photograph and video I have seen of him playing with the band SWANS since their resurrection in 2010 I have seen him use one of these guitars. He has also used Telecaster with SWANS in the early 80s.

In this user-uploaded photo, Norman Westberg is seen using a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal during a performance with SWANS. The pedal is part of his stage setup, as evidenced by its presence in multiple images from both SWANS concerts and his solo shows. Additionally, a Boss Chromatic Tuner and a volume pedal are consistently part of his rig since 2010.

In every Norman Westberg solo show I have seen he uses a red Ibanez semi hollow AS-200. I have also seen him use this guitar in the late 1980s and early 90s touring with SWANS for the Burning World and White Light From the Mouth of Infinity.

Behind Norman's 4x12 orange fullstack, there are always two amps hidden, usually Orange, MusicMan or in this case, two Marshall JCM800 2210 which can be seen closely around 56:25
