In this article from XLR8R Jason states: "Ableton is really mindful of its aesthetics and for some reason I was really drawn to that. I had used Logic to write the first EP and at the same time I was using Ableton to perform, and as Live developed, I was getting tired of bouncing all my stems from Logic to Ableton. Ableton seemed to be focusing more on creation than just sound. I was really drawn to that and switched over right when I began writing the first album." You can also see Ableton on his screen in several pictures from his studio.

His main tool is an MPD32 in the first album. Check video for proof.

How do I know is an MPD32? First you can clearly see Akai printed on his tool. So is an Akai. Then u can see the array of pads so it must be an MPC or MPD. MPD's have equal number of faders and knobs MPCs dont have faders and only have a few knobs usually 1 or 2 so is an MPD. How do I know is MPD32 and not 26 or 24 ? MPD32 has 8 fader and 8 knobs. So he's using a MIDI controller so he must be using some software /computer that i don't know.
