Poko Cox's Gear
In a 2011 interview with Look At Me, Poko Cox identified his Fender Telecaster, saying: “Made in Japan. Bought in Moscow from a guy who imports all sorts of Japanese instruments and supposedly even restores them. The guitar has a fairly basic setup; there aren't a ton of switches. It's perfect for all sorts of funky stuff.”
In a 2011 interview with Look At Me, Poko Cox said he uses the Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner for tuning his guitar: “For tuning my guitar, I use a Boss TU-2 chromatic tuner.”
In a 2011 Look At Me interview, Poko Cox identified the Boss OC-3 Super Octave as part of his setup, saying: “Boss Super Octave OC-3. This is an octaver, I use it to double the bass on some tracks. It has a really cool Drive Octave feature, which not only lowers the sound an octave, but also boosts it.”
In a 2011 interview with Look At Me ("Музыкальная кухня: Tesla Boy"), Poko Cox identified the Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter as part of his gear, saying: “Boss Phase Shifter PH-3. It's a phaser, I have no idea how it works technically, but it sounds awesome.”
In a 2011 interview with Look At Me, Poko Cox said he uses the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker, describing it as: “It’s fuzz, a seventies-style overdrive. Because I don’t like metallic sounds, I prefer retro. I even think the Big Muff sounds more like a synthesizer.”
