Dreamy
It's such a great pedal, dreamy watery chorus/vibrato. Perfect for everything from Peter Hook basslines to Nirvana. It's got a sound and nothing else quite sounds like it.
life-changing
I got this thing because I was new to guitar and wanted a chorus pedal I could use on both bass and guitar. I heard Peter Hook used this on most every New Order song and that was good enough for me (sure enough, you can instantly get those tones straight out the box). I wasn't looking to spend much so I got one second hand, but was surprised when it came with the original EHX battery bearing the sexiest man alive, Mike Matthews. What ensued was a Pixar-esque friendship between me and the vibrato setting, but the stereo chorus sound made for good competition. I wept real man tears when it's life was tragically cut short by the footswitch giving out (that's what I get for a cut-price second hand unit). I felt like I lost a part of me that day. All joking aside, it's a fantastic, simple and effective chorus/vibrato that still beats out a lot of today's best boutiques. Great value for money and a perfect first chorus pedal; I'd take this thing over the Small Clone any day of the week.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
The vibrato setting is simply brilliant, I used it as a subtle, always-on effect that adds a lot of depth to dirt and makes clean tones sound really spectacular.

Really nice analog Chorus sound
Nowadays you can find tons of pedal effects for modulation but nothing compares to analog sound of solid boxes. This pedal has three modes: 1. Chorus, which is set to an "optimal" factory standard determined by best practices. But you can configure the Rate from this effect 2- Chorus 2, in which you can modify Depth and Rate 3- Vibrato,in which you can also modify Depth and Rate
Final comment: you should be careful with the attack hit on your guitar on the first strum because if it's too loud it will make that one of the repeated sounds of the chorus/vibrato sounds too loud in comparison to the others. This could also be corrected with a compressor of course.

In this interview with Music Radar, Matty Healy and Adam Hann talk about their guitar pedals and how they replicate the studio effects. Matt talks about some of the gear he uses: "I’m not as technical. I’ve got an Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory chorus, the Boss compressor, an Analogman Sun Face fuzz pedal, two small EHX Holy Grails and a Boss DD-3 delay. At the moment, I’m playing a Blackstar combo, the Artisan 30. Again, it’s very transparent. Then I’ve got a ’65 Mustang, a ’67 Mustang, a ’68 Mustang, and a ’78 Mustang." Original source here.
"Around the time of recording Closer was when I bought probably two of the most important things I’ve ever owned in terms of my sound – a Shergold Marathon 6-string bass and an Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory pedal. This was really when I started to shape my sound and develop my own styles of playing." - Peter Hook for PedalsandEffects.com
