William Fitzsimmons' Gear
"It's a 1965 Guild M20. One of the best guitars I ever played. I got to know this guitar because of my admiration for Nick Drake (who had also played a M20). Since then I always prefered guitars with smaller bodies. These guitars use to have beautiful mids and are not that bassy, which fit my smooth singing pretty well. After all of these years she [the M-20] became a good friend of mine."

Fitzsimmons can be seen in concert and Instagram/Facebook pictures clearly using the Sennheiser MD 441U microphone for vocals.
About his LH-600, he says, “It sincerely has that tight mid-range, woody quality that the first 30's archtop I ever played had. THIS THING FEELS AMAZING TO PLAY. Honestly, though, the ONLY thing that really matters to me at the end of the day is if the instrument has songs inside of it. And I sincerely believe this thing does.”
