Introducing the Warm Audio WA-67 Tube Microphone, a faithful reproduction of the iconic '67 studio classic. This microphone offers you the vintage acoustic warmth of the original '67 at a more accessible price point. It is designed to deliver high-quality sound for various uses, whether in a professional studio, home recording setup, or live performance.
The heart of the WA-67 is the custom all-brass, large K67-style capsule, meticulously recreated to give you a rich sonic character reminiscent of the original '67. In harmony with the capsule is the EF-86 pentode tube, known for its velvety smooth acoustics, which is a key component of this microphone. The WA-67 also features a large-core transformer, custom built by Lundahl in Sweden, to provide a high-frequency response and a rounded, smooth sound.
The WA-67 comes with a Gotham Audio GAC-7 cable, chosen after extensive research for its ability to reduce phase shift and increase top-end presence. This microphone is versatile and adaptable with three polar patterns: cardioid, omni, and figure-8, all providing a balanced frequency response.
