Kavus Torabi Gear Update

I attended a gig by The Utopia Strong on 07/05/2026 in Manchester at the Halle St Peter’s venue. I saw two pedalboards used by the band and by Kavus. This photo shows one of these pedalboards for guitar. Kavus played a variety of instruments at the gig including bass, guitar and a Jas shruti box or accordian of some kind.

During a performance by The Utopia Strong on May 7, 2026, at Halle St Peter’s in Manchester, Kavus Torabi was observed using an Electro-Harmonix Stereo Electric Mistress flanger/chorus pedal. This observation is supported by a photograph showing the pedal on one of the larger pedalboards used during the gig. The image captures the setup utilized by Torabi, who played multiple instruments, including guitar.

The OBNE White Cap asynchronous dual tremolo pedal can be seen at the centre of this larger pedalboard - it’s partially obscured by leads, but the distinctive lettering makes it fairly identifiable.
