Old Blood Noise Endeavors Whitecap Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Whitecap offers a unique dual-tremolo experience, blending analog and digital circuits for unpredictable effects. While it excels in creating glitchy, chaotic sounds, its mono output and lack of expression control limit its versatility. The independent controls are clever, but many users might find the tonal difference between the two circuits less pronounced than expected. Additionally, the absence of separate footswitches for the tremolos may frustrate those seeking quick adjustments during performance. For adventurous players, Whitecap is a delightful chaos generator; for those craving straightforward tremolo tones, it might miss the mark.

I attended a gig by The Utopia Strong on 07/05/2026 in Manchester at the Halle St Peter’s venue. I saw two pedalboards used by the band and by Kavus. This photo shows one of these pedalboards for guitar. Kavus played a variety of instruments at the gig including bass, guitar and a Jas shruti box or accordian of some kind. The OBNE White Cap asynchronous dual tremolo pedal can be seen at the centre of this larger pedalboard - it’s partially obscured by leads, but the distinctive lettering makes it fairly identifiable.
