Kavus Torabi

In this YouTube video, Kavus Torabi is seen playing a Fender Telecaster. He comes out at 4:35. A member of the audience makes it clear that it is a Telecaster.

Kavus Torabi owns a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster, which was beautifully repainted in a paisley design by his wife. This guitar was highlighted in a Twitter post by Knifeworld, mentioning its planned use for the upcoming Steve Hillage/Gong tour.

Kavus Torabi is seen with an Ibanez Destroyer in his Twitter profile picture as of January 10, 2017.

Kavus Torabi uses a Gretsch White Falcon Semi-Hollow Guitar, as seen in "Some Fairytales From The Rotten Shed" and confirmed by a guitar tech on the Blackguitars website.

Kavus Torabi is noted for using the Gretsch G6136T White Falcon Electric Guitar, as highlighted in an article by Orange Amps.

In this interview with Ahsley Jones, Kavus recalls that he got Cubase in around 2008 to finish a project that he'd started in 2001. He was sending Tim Smith rough mixes and asking for advice on how to use it.

During a performance by The Utopia Strong on May 7, 2026, at Halle St Peter’s in Manchester, Kavus Torabi was observed using an Electro-Harmonix Stereo Electric Mistress flanger/chorus pedal. This observation is supported by a photograph showing the pedal on one of the larger pedalboards used during the gig. The image captures the setup utilized by Torabi, who played multiple instruments, including guitar.
