My Gear 30

I got this guitar for my birthday this year, and I love it! But I also hate it. I'll just list pros and cons. Pros: Great tone and good quality single coil pickups Cool colors!!! :0 Pickup selectors feel vintage and accurate Very responsive tuners, unlike other guitars I have *Cough cough* the free first act i have in my closet *cough cough* Cons: The neck and fretboard are kinda uncomfortable, this isn't a problem for me much THE WHAMMY BAR FALLS OUT EVERY TWO FRICKING SECONDS Wayyyy too heavy The bridge pickup has too much bass tone (I know thats what It's for, but it's too much)
I'm a casual guitarist who decided to start buying pedals with my birthday money, and this is the first one i got. Its a great pedal for a great price too. As soon as i stepped on it, i felt like kirk hammett. It has insane quality and sounds amazing. It sounds like... kirk hammett. kirk hammett kirk hammett kirk hammett,. Its extremely simple to use (just step on it like a gas pedal in a car) as well. Gotta be one of my favorite pedals ever.
I am a casual guitarist, who is trying to grow his collection of gear, so I got into pedals. I tested it out used at my local guitar center and I brought it home with me. Upon playing, I noticed that it is very versatile, and has great tone. It has good material quality, and sound quality as well. It ranges from a light overdrive, to metal overdrive for Metallica or Megadeth. It sounds exactly like a TS9, but with 3 other modes. The other modes seem to provide a deeper, and warmer tone, as well as give higher output levels. The dials are slightly harder to move than some of my other pedals, but that doesn't matter much, as I don't need to change the settings often. When playing barefoot, it isn't uncomfortable or a hassle to press.
I got this guitar as a Christmas gift last year in 2024, and I've had it for 4 months now, and so far so good! It's extremely good for its price point, and it plays and sounds as good as a $750 guitar. The bird inlays have gotten me so many compliments, it's crazy... The humbuckers have great tone for dirty and crunch tone, but the bridge humbucker is not so great for clean tones. The coil split works for anything, such as Stratocaster tones that I wouldn't be able to achieve since I don't have one (If I don't get one for my birthday, I will actually cry). The middle position is great for rhythm and lead tones both clean and distorted. The neck is extremely comfortable to play on and it may even make me a better guitarist. I don't find myself using the given whammy bar much unless I'm playing some Kirk Hammett or something of the like. One other thing I love about this is the coil split button itself not just the functionality. I have ADHD and often use the button as a fidget (I'm being serious its great).
I've had this pickup for about 2 weeks now, and It's pretty great! It's very high output, and has a very thick sound. Works well for most styles of playing, but it does get a bit muddy depending on how you use it. If you know how to use it right, it works very well. The only reason I am deducting a star is because it is not perfect, but it gets the job done very well.
