Features and functionality

  • The built-in tuner activates by pressing and holding the "TAP" button, muting the speaker for easy tuning.

    Source
  • The interface is intuitive for setting up patches, but reverb adjustments require navigating through menus, which some find cumbersome.

  • Owners appreciate the amp's rich tonality, feeling it doesn't sound small or boxy, unlike older models such as the Fender Sidekick 25R.

    Source
  • Some users feel the 1x12 speaker lacks depth compared to 2x12 setups, affecting the perceived fullness of sound for live performances.

    Source
  • Owners mention second-guessing their choice due to the LT50's open back design, which may not provide the sound fullness they expected.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • The amp models can closely emulate the sound of a 57 Fender Deluxe when compared through a good stereo system, offering great value for its price.

    Source
  • For achieving live Nirvana tones, a Mesa amp type on the LT50 dialed back works well, especially when seeking a DS-1 distortion effect.

    Source

Setup and maintenance

  • The "Super Dry Clean" setting is recommended for pedal use, ensuring the amp remains completely clean with no effects for optimal pedal integration.

Fantastic Little Amp. Perfect for the Beginner.

I am not the biggest fan of "Modeling" amplifiers. It just seems to me that one thing trying to do a lot of different things is bound to fail. I am happy to report that where the Mustang LT50 is concerned it is pretty successful at what it does.

There are quite a few factory presets onboard and even more if you download the Fender Tone software for your PC or Mac.

The available effects will keep you busy for hours as you search for the ideal sound. It is quite a lot of fun to play with! The "clean" tones are, in my opinion, the strongest feature. They are very clear and very Fender. But you can "dirty up" the sound with surprisingly good results.

At 50 watts you could likely gig with this at a small venue such as a coffee shop or the like but I think it would have a hard time keeping up with a live drummer.

It's a great practice amp and will let you decide if you want to invest in things like pedals and a pedal board.

Overall, excellent for a beginner who does not want to shell out a ton of money for equipment they will never use. It's also an outstanding practice amp usable by ANY level of player experience.

I can recommend this without hesitation.

This amp is amazing, and it’s really beautiful both in appearance and sound.

"Look, this amp may not be the most expensive one out there or the best one, but DAMN, does it sound GOOD. It's seriously amazing, with so many sounds to choose from, and you can even download sounds that people have created using this amp online. And come on, the quality is outstanding. Absolutely outstanding.

The perfect modeling amp

This is a great amp. I've used it on gigs and in the studio, and it always gets the job done. The default presets are actually really good, but when you dial in your own tones, you can get some really great sounding guitar sounds. It can literally do any style well. (I use it mainly for country, rock, blues, and pop.)

Dunno if this an LT50 or an LT25 at 7:29 but it's definitely some sort of Fender Mustang LT combo amplifier behind Will from when Lovejoy was writing recording demos for Pebble Brain.
