Tom Hades' Gear
In the "Producer Masterclass | Creating Techno with Tom Hades | Part 1 of 2" video by Computer Music, Tom Hades is shown using the Arturia Jup-8 V3 softsynth at the 16:25 mark.
While working with Attack Magazine, he did a studio tour where he talked about what equipment he used. One item he talked about was the Ableton Push 2 where he commented "Most of my career I've worked with different DAWs but the one I always tend to prefer purley for the production and creative part is Ableton. Since they released their own controller some years ago I immidietly bought one myself and loved it straightaway. version 1 still had some minor issues but since version 2 of the device I very happy to work with it. I tend to create a lot of Ableton racks which I can map to controllers and tweak by hand those during my arrangement. Human touch seem to bring a more organic feeling since errors are in there - we are all humans with errors"
In a photo from a course, Tom Hades is seen using the Novation Peak synthesizer.
At 13:07 this plugin is pulled up and Tom says "I've found a really nice tool called apQualizr... nothing more then an EQ but its based on a kind of positive way of buildng things... so what I can do is add an LFO here... but what is the nice part about this is you can make some nice notch filters with this. So if they move around they will cut out each others frequencies and you get a very strange movement in your sound. So I really love this one"
At 18:12 this plugin is pulled up and Tom says "To be honest I love this delay, its from native instruments but it's based on all the algorithms and its called Replika for a reason. They tried to replicate stuff but I really like this one and its not that expensive."
At 22:40 when talking about using saturation on a kick drum, Tom says "One of the plugins I really really like for this is from iZotope, Trash. It will bring up the tongue easily"
At 24:36, this EQ is pulled up and Tom says "I really like this kind of EQ because if you crank stuff up, it's not a level it's not a volume... so if you crank it up it doesn't really push it too hard. I also love these kind of EQs because you don't really have so many options of going in between frequencies... it forces you to really make decisions."

In an interview with Attack Magazine, Tom Hades discusses his use of the Pro Co RAT 2 distortion pedal. He describes it as the essential tool for achieving the raw techno sound he aims for in his music. Hades mentions that he has been using the RAT 2 on every track over the past year, highlighting its ability to add a distinct, gritty character that resonates with listeners and has garnered positive feedback.
At 26:17 when compressing a kick drum, this compressor is pulled up and Tom says "I use Kick parallel (preset) because I want to have a parallel sound"
At 28:13 when talking about mono mixing, this EQ is pulled up and Tom says "Why I really like this one is the white is the mono signal and the blue is the side signal."

"When I started to do productions, I bought a couple of Dynaudio BM15As from the first money I earned. I’ve always loved those but a couple of years ago I got the impression that they didn’t translate enough to the current expectations of production work. I did a lot of research and a friend of mine, Steve Redhead, bought his first Focal Twins, which he really loved a lot. Eventually I went to the shop and tried them out, but I was so used to my Dynaudios and especially their big power, so it seemed that the Twins didn’t take what I wanted or needed. The sales guy of the shop showed me the bigger brother and it didn’t take long until I was sold! Up to now I’m super happy with them!"
In an interview with Attack Magazine, Tom Hades discusses his experience with the Access Virus TI2 Desktop Synthesizer. He recalls working with Marco Bailey, who owned an Access Virus B, which they used on numerous releases. Hades mentions that the sound, especially the pads, left a lasting impression. Although he initially bought an Access Virus C, it didn't resonate with him like the B version. Eventually, he acquired the Access Virus TI2, appreciating its integration with modern DAW environments and the familiar sound quality reminiscent of the B model he used extensively in the past.

While talking about this and the M-One XL, Tom says "These two devices have also been a big part of my career and I think they must have defined my perception on how the known effects, like reverb and delay, must sound! They are hardwired to my mixer, so I can use them always and everywhere!"
While talking about this and the D-two, Tom says "These two devices have also been a big part of my career and I think they must have defined my perception on how the known effects, like reverb and delay, must sound! They are hardwired to my mixer, so I can use them always and everywhere!"
