At around 3:40 in the source video, Tommy states that he uses two EBG808s, and can be seen playing it in the intro to the video. He says he's used this particular guitar since it was made for him in 2008.

From the early to mid 1990's, before making the switch to acoustic, Tommy Emmanuel played a battered 1966 Custom Telecaster, with an added middle pickup, 6-saddle bridge, and custom gold hardware. He was later reunited with this guitar, as evidenced in a December 2014 Facebook post.

In a YouTube video titled "Tommy Emmanuel Thumbpicking Masterclass," Tommy Emmanuel states that he uses a Dunlop Medium Thumbpick and modifies it to his liking.
