Bock Audio is a boutique microphone manufacturer founded in 2007 by designer David Bock, who previously co-founded Soundelux Microphones in 1995 and served as its chief designer. When Bock departed Soundelux, he retained the rights to the microphones he had designed there, and several Soundelux models — including the U195, E251C, and Elux 251 — formed the basis of the early Bock Audio catalog under new names. Before launching his own companies, Bock worked as a chief tech at studios including Hyde Street in San Francisco, Hit Factory in New York, and Ocean Way in Los Angeles.

The company's lineup centers on hand-built large-diaphragm condensers and tube microphones aimed at the high-end studio market. Notable models include the Bock 251 (a tube condenser inspired by the Telefunken ELA M 251), the Bock 507, the Bock 407, the Bock 195, the Bock 50, and the iFET solid-state condenser. Production is small-batch — typically only five to ten microphones built at a time — using hand-construction techniques that Bock has said are impractical at higher volumes.

Universal Audio acquired the Bock Microphones brand, and the line is now produced and distributed under UA's umbrella, with mics built in Santa Cruz, California. The brand is positioned as a boutique alternative to mass-produced studio condensers, with a stated design philosophy of building 'for sound, not a price point.'
