Based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, the company designs and hand-builds its speakers in the UK, and is best known for its use of Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading — a technique PMC has developed across both its studio and home-audio ranges.
On the professional side, PMC produces nearfield, midfield, and large main monitors found in mastering rooms, post-production houses, broadcast facilities, and Dolby Atmos immersive rooms. Model lines include the result6 and result6a nearfields, the twotwo and IB series monitors, and the large-format BB6 and QB1 main monitors. For home listening, PMC's catalogue spans the compact prodigy and twenty5i ranges through to the flagship fenestria and prophecy models.
PMC has received a Technical Emmy for its contribution to recording and monitoring, and its monitors are used across film scoring, music mixing, and mastering work at a range of major studios.
