ADAM Audio, short for Advanced Dynamic Audio Monitors, is a Berlin-based manufacturer of studio monitors and professional loudspeakers founded in 1999 by physicist Klaus Heinz and electrical engineer Roland Stenz. The company built its reputation on proprietary tweeter technology — the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) driver, which uses a folded, pleated diaphragm inspired by Oskar Heil's 1960s Air Motion Transformer design to move air up to four times faster than conventional piston drivers.
