A powerhouse of grind!

This pedal does what you wish Darkglass did! It’s raw, powerful, and goes perfectly in the mix. Maybe it's as subtle as a brick, but then who recorded subtlety from a pedal called Black Haze!

Don’t think you need to run at 18v to really unleash this pedal’s full potential. I did that and couldn’t hear any difference between the 9v and 18v version, but maybe I’m a loud stage that would be different? Just don’t stress over that detail.

I really like how in a band mix it thickens the bass tone without being too muddy or too clanky. This is a really great thing, think somewhere between Darkglass and big muff.

The only downside is it’s noisy when gained up anywhere from 2/3 upwards. If I didn’t need a noise gate this would be 5/5.

You can pretty much nail this pedal with a helix by selecting the Clawthorn Drive, mixing overdrive and fuzz. In fact, I sold this pedal and now use the helix to minimise my board, but may repurchase one in the future.
