Description
MXR M-83 Bass Chorus Deluxe is not just your average chorus pedal. It's a versatile tool for creating a wide range of soundscapes with your bass. Powered by analog bucket-brigade technology, this pedal produces shimmering, liquid chorus and swishing, metallic flanger effects, all while preserving the punch and fundamental of your low end.
In addition to the standard chorus effects, this pedal offers flanger and crossover modes. The flanger mode transforms your Bass Chorus Deluxe into a creamy, psychedelic flanger reminiscent of the '60s and '70s. The crossover mode, on the other hand, rolls off the modulation effect at 100Hz, adding shimmer to your highs without disturbing your lows.
The MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe also comes with separate bass and treble controls, allowing you to fine-tune your sound to your exact preference. An internal switch lets you toggle stereo output for a wide, immersive stereo sound. All these features are packed in a robust, footswitch-controlled chassis for easy and convenient operation.

Great pedal
Can't beat some chorus on your tone. It ties in great with a distorted tone to make the mids stand out a tad more.

Favorite pedal on my bass board.
I have a number of pedals on my bass board--Sansamp Bass Driver, an MXR M80 DI+, but this one is my favorite by far. There's a wide variety of chorus tones available, from subtle to all-out. If you're looking to get some of those Joy Division-esque bass chorus tones, this will get you there.
it's definitely deluxe, but i still need more time
my feelings towards the chorus tone are on and off. i'm digging the flanger mode. i found a few settings. the flanger tone could be better, nut a prefer it to the mxr evh flanger. with fuzz, the flanger sounds too robotic. i don't like it, but you may want to check it out if you're into techno. the x-over button almost unnecessary. it's definitely not practicle.

I actually prefer the flanger on this
Perfctly decent bit of kit. X-Over feature is great for preserving the bottom end.
