A pair of Palmer's stage-played size M Foote's drumsticks were auctioned in August 2023 via Julien's.

A pair of Foote’s drumsticks that were stage used by Carl Palmer during a performance in Glasgow, Scotland in the early 1970s. Comes with a detailed letter from the original recipient that reads ‘Emerson Lake and Palmer had just finished their performance in Glasgow’s Apollo. We headed out, to hopefully meet them at the stage door. When they eventually appeared, all three.. Keith Emerson, Greg Lake and Carl Palmer all signed my programme, I asked Carl Palmer if he had possibly a broken drumstick during the show, which I hopefully could have as a souvenir. He replied, he hadn’t broken one for ages and produced two drumsticks for me… in perfectly good condition. He used them in the show and really liked the idea of an actual item from their performance, as a souvenir of a great night’. The condition is very good. NO RESERVE ESTIMATE $200.00 - $400.00

A pair of Foote's drumsticks equipped with lasers were listed on eBay, as recorded in this Worthpoint archive.

A very unusual and unique piece of rock and roll history for the diehard Bad Company / Simon Kirke fan. Here are the actual laser drumsticks used by Simon Kirke during the drum solo on the 1978 Bad Company Tour. Each drumstick has a tiny lens on the side above the grip for projecting red and yellow laser beams. The laser light was carried to the drumsticks by fiber optic cables and supplied by a krypton laser behind the drum riser. Also during the drum solo, an argon laser in the drum riser projected green beams from portholes around the top edge of the drum riser. Inside the grip end of each drumstick is a mercury switch to control the laser shutter so that the beam would turn off if the drumstick was held below horizontal, thus protecting the audience from the powerful beams. The effect was that of a human scanner, producing colorful beam fans overhead made visible by fog machines. They are no longer operable and the big water cooled lasers are not included. Just the pair of drumsticks with fiber optic cables and electrical cables. These should probably be in a Hardrock cafe somewhere or rock and roll hall of fame. A certificate of authenticity is included. Free shipping in the US. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking!

On page 44 of the May 1972 issue of Beat Instrumental, it is reported in the monthly "Shopping Around with Beat" column that Pustelnik had ordered "two hundred specially made sticks" from CHAS E. FOOTE Ltd. at 17 Golden Square, London W1. 01-4371811.

Most working bands are numbered amongst the shop's regulars - many of whom use the shop's custom services, which includes equipment hire (through the band's agencies) and the supply of specially made drumsticks. The Groundhog's Ken Pustelnik, for example, had just bought two hundred specially made sticks on the morning I called.
