Google Pixel C review | TechRadar

techradar.com

The Google Pixel C tablet boasts a stunning display and premium design, making it a strong contender in the tablet market. However, its hefty weight and expensive keyboard accessory may deter some users. Additionally, the lack of expandable storage options and a 4G model limit its versatility. While it stands out with solid performance and a sleek look, it faces stiff competition from more lightweight rivals, leaving potential buyers with mixed feelings about its overall value.

Google Pixel C Review | PCMag

pcmag.com

The Google Pixel C tablet showcases impressive hardware with its sleek metal body and solid CPU performance, but it’s let down by frustratingly buggy software that hampers productivity. With significant lag and poorly designed apps, this device struggles to compete with rivals like the Galaxy Tab S2 and iPad Air 2, both of which offer better user experiences. While the battery life is commendable, the lack of multi-window support and persistent connectivity issues make it hard to recommend. If you're seeking a reliable tablet, look elsewhere—this one feels like it was rushed to market.

Software - The Google Pixel C Review

anandtech.com

The Google Pixel C struggles to deliver a seamless experience, marred by serious software and connectivity issues that undermine its potential as a premium tablet. While it boasts impressive hardware, the Android Marshmallow OS fails to enhance usability, lacking crucial features like split-screen multitasking. Users report frustrating performance lags and erratic WiFi connectivity, making it difficult to recommend for productivity tasks. Moreover, its touch input is inconsistent, further hampering the user experience. Priced at $500, it raises concerns about value for money in an already competitive tablet market dominated by superior alternatives. Ultimately, the Pixel C feels like a missed opportunity for Google, leaving buyers wary of its real-world performance.

Google Pixel C review: An Android tablet worthy of replacing your iPad - CNET

cnet.com

The Google Pixel C tablet dazzles with its stunning aluminum design and impressive performance, making it a top contender in the Android tablet arena. Its vibrant screen and solid keyboard enhance usability, but the experience is marred by the optional keyboard's added weight and occasional laggy keys. While the device shines in gaming and productivity, it struggles with app availability compared to iOS, leaving users to ponder its place in a declining tablet market. With a price tag starting at $500, it’s a worthy choice for some, but its appeal may fall flat amidst a sea of competing devices. The Pixel C is undeniably capable, yet it raises the question: who is really looking for an Android tablet today?

Google Pixel C review: Too clever by half - The Verge

theverge.com

While the Google Pixel C boasts stunning hardware and impressive battery life, it struggles under the weight of its own operating system. Users will appreciate the sleek design and upgraded keyboard, but performance hiccups and subpar app support hinder its potential. The Android experience remains unoptimized for tablets, leaving many popular applications feeling more like phone apps. With Bluetooth connectivity issues and a lack of split-screen functionality, the Pixel C falls short of its promise. Ultimately, this tablet is a beautiful piece of hardware that deserves better software support; however, for now, it feels more like a missed opportunity than a triumph.

Google Play Tablet - perfect for fill

There are alot of options out there for 'backup' platforms. The Spotify 'save' on an iPad is popular, as is a windows tablet. I have a windows tablet that is full function but dont need it. The Pixel C is a great in-between for Android based functionality that doesn't need iTunes, and is rock solid. Battery life is good, display is great. Bluetooth signal is rock solid. DeeJay Pro2 works great on it just as a backup.
