Carlton "Carly" Barrett, the renowned drummer of Bob Marley & The Wailers, used a Ludwig 6.5x14 Supraphonic 402 snare drum, as detailed on "The Drums of Carlton Barrett" website. This drum, part of a kit awarded to Barrett in 1976 while he was living in Delaware and working at the Newark Chrysler assembly plant, was later kept in Jamaica for Bob Marley's production studio.
