Description
This snare is circa 92-94 and was one of the last drums made in the Pearl Japanese facility alongside the Custom Classic One Piece Maple, Hammered Steel and Custom Z series drums.
The drum features the original Classic Bridge Lug and 2.3mm Triple Flanged Hoops.
This snare was the first ever hammered offering from Pearl, the Hammered shell’s acts a bit like the acoustics in a professional studio, the variable surfaces obstruct the air column and force the frequencies to scatter differently, producing a warmer, more controlled response. Hammered metal snares are said to articulate the bright end of the spectrum inherent in metal while emulating the warmth and low tones of wooden snares.
