The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 impresses with its fast performance, excellent pen support, and additional features like acting as a TV remote. However, its hefty price tag and average battery life make it less appealing compared to cheaper alternatives. While artists will appreciate the pressure-sensitive S Pen, its poor cameras and limited multitasking features may deter general consumers. For those seeking a premium small tablet experience, the Note 8.0 has its merits, but the more affordable Google Nexus 7 remains the better overall choice.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a mixed bag. On the plus side, it offers solid productivity features like the S Pen and multi-window support, catering well to those who need a portable note-taking device. Its performance, thanks to the Exynos 4 Quad SoC and 2GB of RAM, is generally good for multitasking. However, the use of plastic materials makes it feel less premium, and its design might be too large for one-handed use. With a higher price point and last-generation hardware in some areas, it doesn't quite stand out against competitors like the iPad mini.
