Aphex Twin is listed on U&I Software's site as a user of MetaSynth. "Richard James' use of MetaSynth on his classic Window Licker helped put MetaSynth on the map."
"During the bridge in “Bout That,” we bring in a new sound: a swirling digital additive synth we made in a program called MetaSynth."
In booklet of The Senja Recordings [Track 14], he wrote that he used MetaSynth [with ARP Odyssey].
Spectrasonics Studio List The equipment list for the Spectrasonics studio reads like a gear-head's dream. Favourites amongst Eric's sizeable synthesizer collection include the Access Virus, the Prophet VS, his collection of Waldorf synthesizers, and a 1976 Yamaha CS80. "It's my favourite axe to play, because of the awesome polyphonic aftertouch and that sensuous ribbon," explains Eric.
For effects processing Eric is a fan of the Roland SRV330 reverb, an item that "gets missed by most people, mainly because it doesn't say Lexicon on the front panel." For distortion tricks Eric often uses a rare Boss GL100 guitar preamp: "It's basically the history of Boss pedals in one rack space."
Mixing, until recently, was done on some "very odd, custom-made analogue mixers made by a guy named Mo West," reveals Eric. He recently purchased a Roland VM 7000-series mixer, however, taking him one step closer to an all-digital setup.

In a Threads post by Joshua Bright, a photo taken in June 2024 features his MacBook Pro with U&I Software Metasynth visibly running in the background, confirming his use of the software.
On his latest album "Meta Landscapes" (2021) Norwegian composer and music artist Helge Krabye (aka Homeless Balloon) has included fourteen tracks where MetaSynth by U&I Software was the main instrument and tool. The tracks are either re-creations or finished works based on sounds and ideas he has developed since 1998 when he first started using MetaSynth for his ambient music for television documentaries, radio plays and fantasy stories.
