I write and record music. I used to play live and still intend to again soon. But I find a lot more joy in writing, experimenting with new sounds, and releasing music for people to enjoy.

I'm generally a bigger fan of the exact replication that digital delay offers. But for quite the opposite, I enjoy the AD9. A really warm and natural resonating delay comes with this thing. A bit softer, less punchy, and more subdued sound.
I never understood fuzz pedals until I played this thing. The boost you get to the lower end, and the neat things you can do to get that odd overtone on certain notes is so cool. I have what I believe is a V6, a reissue from the early 2000s, but it sounds great. I can get pretty much any Smashing Pumpkins or White Stripes song out with this paired with a Boss SD-1. This would definitely be in a list of my top 5 pedals I suggest you own.
When I went from playing punk with WAY too much distortion and into more indie and alt-rock tones, I wasn't sure where to start... someone pointed me in the direction of the Ibanez Tube Screamer but that still didn't feel right to me. I then started looking into alternatives, and this thing showed up. I never looked back. I love that it provides a subtle boost to whatever you're throwing at it. My personal preferences say it sounds "off" with the tone cranked... but keeping it at around 12 o' clock makes this a must have for any rock genre, in my opinion.
Can a tuner be the coolest piece of gear you own? Most guitarist would probably say no. Guitarists who like quick and easy to use polychromatic pedals that have really pretty and easy to see flashing lights would say yes.
