Versatility at its finest

Highly versatile, highly customizable, can do the cleanest cleans just like the dirtiest distortions. It can be way loud enough for my home needs. It has a master volume knob, but also a standby, 0.5W, 25W or 50W knob. The possibility of using patches truly makes it shine. You can just download one that resembles a tone used in a song you like, and tweak it any way you want. It has no Bluetooth capability on its own, but the Airstep KAT Edition footswitch fixes that issue wonderfully, along with adding extra features such as easy and seamless tone switching. For those interested, you can also plug it into another similar amp for stereo effects, or a bigger speaker (doing so turns off the amp's own speaker). It has a USB slot that the Airstep can use, but you can also use it to send audio to a DAW on your computer for easy recordings, both with and without effects. Bear in mind that the amp is recognized as an audio interface in itself, so if like me you tend to use a dedicated one, you'll have to switch back and forth when recording that way. Not really a problem for me, but something to keep in mind. The build itself looks nice and sturdy, which means you can move it pretty easily, though I wouldn't carry it through a whole city on foot. Been there. Not a fun time.

Great entry-level amp

For its price point, it's a great entry-level guitar amp for its price. A jack-of-all-trades, you can tweak the default amps to your own liking, whether you want a classic rock sound, clean reverb, or a glam metal-style sound.

My only issue is that, as a metal guitar player, the treble frequencies of the distorted amps can be a little out of control and hard to adjust, as heard in this video made by the metal guitarist YouTuber Ola Englund https://youtu.be/wDdTffdZ9xU). The noise suppressor on the amp also doesn't act as fast as I want it to, considering there's still a brief droning hum after palm muting for some reason.

Nonetheless, the clean and lead tones are superb and I would highly recommend this amp to anyone primarily playing rock, jazz or country.

Lack of presence knob (actually you can use it in software), this is remind me a Marshall + Soldano and a bit Mesa sound. Roland did it well.

It really is a great amplifier, doesn't sound at all like solid state amplifier. And that's why lots of tubes amp. players like it so much. It's react more to the way you pick and the clean is great. And the bright side to having a solid state amp is you can play it at low volume and the distortions sounds great. you can play 5 effects at a time and you have access to more than 60 customisable Boss effects in the Boss Tone Studio if you plug it to your computer ( it's hard to set up in the beggining but you can have help in the boss katana facebook group, also there'S lots of guitar patches that you can download from user in katana facebook patches facebook group for free and you'll have instan sounds of guitar heroes. That means that you don't have to pay lots of money just for a gtr effect. and this amp is cheap 300 Canadian dollar or 230 USD it'S a steal cause this amp is really good and you can even plug headphone if you don't want to disturb anyone.
