During Royal Blood's 2017 Tour, Mike changed from his gretsch electromatic basses and fender starcaster basses to new customised jaguar basses, witch include a starcaster wide range humbucker. This jaguar has four versions so far: one with a black sparkle finish and a pearloid pickguard, one with a red finish and black pickguard, one with a white finish and a gold pickguard and one with a fiesta red finish, a black pickguard and a mini humbucker (Similar to the ones in his gretsch basses) near to the bridge. One of the versions of this bass can be seen in the music video for "I Only Lie When I Love You".

The bass was created by Kyle Hodder (https://twitter.com/Fender_RND and https://www.instagram.com/fender_rnd/) along side Mike.

The thing that really turned me on actually were all the kind of dive bomb settings it had, because I had loads of amps running at the same time; I worked out I could start divemombing one amp against another so I ended up buyng three. So I've got three on the board.

In this live performance image, Mike is seen playing a black Fender Starcaster Bass, he also owns a white Starcaster Bass, which he uses in the music video for Ten Tonne Skeleton. He started using Starcaster basses around 2013, during Royal Blood's time in the studio, according to 2020 Guitar World interview.

"I've recently started using a Fender Starcaster, a new bass that's come out. It's a hollow-body, short-scale bass with humbuckers that sound huge. I'm a big fan of that one, so I'm going to start using it a lot more. I'm sure the collection is going to increase and increase as time goes on." - via MusicRadar

Dawsons, a music store from the UK, posts an article on the Equipment of Royal Blood. They write "Speaking of amps, Mike feeds his bass into a number of guitar amps, namely a Fender Supersonic and a Bassman. The Supersonic is an interesting amp, with enough gain available on tap to serve up the thick, goopy levels of grit and dirtiness, yet can also deliver Fender’s traditional sparkling cleans if required."
