I wish... I've been a week without internet here. Anytime I visit a coffee shop for internet, it's to work, so I don't get much time to puruse anything outside my spectrum.
I think I have time today. I tried King Krule after Anthony Fantano's review (I don't get to listen to him too often). Definetely within my specteum. Definetely like his voice and the minimalism of his songs. Gotta expand.

You know the Orlando shooter got his guns legally. Most of the blame has to be left on the FBI following him. They dropped him from watchlists back in 2012 and that allowed him legal access to firearms.
Hell, most of these shooters have normal backgrounds. It's not a problem with our gun laws. If anything, it's just that all these people seem safe. It's kind of like people joining ISIS in America. It's not isolated to one group, it's a diverse group joining. People with extreme differences in education, race, etc. That's to say even those with a PhD most likely have joined ISIS. It's not something you can filter to one group. Alternatively, our gun laws only filtre the maniacs that we caught first.

Just saw that this morning, and first thing I thought of was Gchiaren and Michael. You guys doing okay? I can't help but feel like a dominoe effect is happening with these shootings.

You want me to repeat that entire verse for you, or explain it word for word? I don't know because all you said was "huh?". That helps no one.

I took a few lessons, but school got in the way. I really wanted to learn, but I also had one on loan. To have my own violin would be fabtastic.

I may or may not have struck gold... Long story short, I may have reserved a total of three very old (and slightly damaged) violins. These things look like they haven't been touched in decades due to all the dust.
Anyways, I'll update you guys when I can. Currently, they're in a garage and probably about to be sold (along with some old college textbooks on languages and readig comprehension). Knowing the man who owns it, i'm very sure i'll get a good price on them.

That blue pedal with the toggle switch, the one behind the Korg tuner, and the one to the right of the pink Ibanez delay. What are they?

The best thing that ever happened to music!
On a related note, I also liked Florence Welch with her long hair.
I should probably reconsider my tastes.

WOT
It continually surprises me that these forums actually exist. It feels so weird even though i've been using them for over five years. Haven't found many good ones, though. UG forums are so massive that it's useless. I think Seymour has one, but I dropped that as well as Fender. Never got around to any others. The non musical forums... Not saying what it was, but that shit was fucking toxic. Every once in a blue moon, I return there to check up. They're falling apart, so I'm okay with that.
I might join another forum. Something not so massive.

Right... Not a set list. Got it.
You know, there's something about Crossroad Blues with that slide to D that gets me. I took a music history class some time ago (hardly paid attention... probably should have). Robert Johnson was a favourite of mine. That and some of those 12 bar blues stuff was cool. Probably should explore that stuff.
What is it with these people always putting "blues" in the title? I never understood that in class.

Now back to Khaki King, do you think she's single and liked toddlers? My therapist is on me to date again and I really think I am going to enforce a 'serious musicians only' policy... there's just no talking to non-musicians sometimes and that's no basis for a relationship as it turns out.
She's married and a lesbian :/

Which one of you was it that funded your pedalboard by starring in a mayonnaise ad?
Hellman's!
Autocorrect? Reference? wot?

An aknowledgement of what you're trying to convey to me is considered kind.
In other news, I finally have car insurance! Now... Need to learn stick. I'll read everything soon.

Ah, yes. No idea how that happened, but it was recognised some time ago that he'd been terminated... Around the same time I became a moderator, I'd been looking for other members and their statuses. Tesla's gone. Sorry, Duke.

Well that's just how I see her. Perhaps you may not agree, but that doesn't mean you should put her down. Perhaps by your standards, she is not that impressive. By my own, however, she is, for better use of wording, a technical genius.

Ovations are pretty good, but they're super uncomfortable to me. I always thought the plastic backs would really mold to your lap or body when you sit and stand, but it feels massive, like it's pushing against me.
Plenty of artists use those, most notable Kaki King who has her own signature. She makes some instrumental acoustic music, fantastic artist and a musical genius in her own right.

Speaking of, I just remembered this demo by Livingroom Gear Demos! This video is how I got into Bahamas, and why I keep a sticky on Furch guitars.

I don't know about the rest of Yamaha's acoustics. I just know what I have: a Yamaha FX-335.
10yalmost 10 years ago
From personal experience, I like my Yamaha FX-335. It's survived my sister's and my own playing (which is somewhere over a decade of use and misuse!). I'm sure someone else can give you more options, though.

"funded your pedalboard by starring in a mayonnaise ad?"
Good job. You've formed a sentence that I sincerely believe no one has ever thought of except for the individual who did that ad.

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!
I took care of your pending submissions. Very well done, but I left a comment for the ones I denied.

Anyone bought any new cds or downloaded anything or gowever you get your music?
10yalmost 10 years ago
But it's demeaning if you celebrate a musician you only knew after they died, which is kind of backwards thinking.
The internet has many messed up morals.

Ah, you're Scotty Moore thread. That would have most likely been a situation where you ask how I know him, and I say "because pf this thread". Apparently people hate that.
But Christ, that guy live a long time... I already did a bit of research on him, pretty cool he backed Elvis. Maybe I should try listening to him music.

Nothing like a bit of warrented optimism to get ou through the day, eh, Jim?

I had planned on using a hand preess since my uncle actually had one, but than I made a call against it. Ut would simply take too much time to set up a good day when he wasn't workig where I can just use that press while supervised by him.
I did use a hand deill, but it ended up fairly on point. I was actually quite surprised. I just stuck therhing between two bricks to keep it steady, drilled, and it went well. If only I had measured tge side better...

Well, my dad lied. I found the drill and it WORKED! So then I had to buy a 1/2 inch drill bit since he didn't have one, and coupled with the 1/4 bit, I did this:

A bit off-centred, which annoys the hell out of me, but whatever. I'll send it to my friend again since he needs to do something else with the art. That leaves me with soldering. Here's basically what I intend to in a very elaborate and practical diagram:

no really, I was just joking.... they can have 'em for whatever the lowest auction price is on ebay or whatever plus actual shipping. I am so sorry I metnioned I had them now, Narcy. I was just trying to point out that its not a big deal to have seen Jeff or Kurt or any of these guys and it went off to the fucking races.
You gotta sell'em for a dollar now.
Or, if they're British, 75 cents.

Ouch, $200? You should just throw in a free frame with it.
