Well, as for planning, you've a pretty simple set up. Get your massive board. Zip-tie (or whichever method) on under-side of the board. That Fly Rig should go bottom left side. If there's any remaining space, drop your volume on the bottom-right side to take up the space and ease of use. HOWEVER, if you're not going to use your volume frequently, but you use your Whammy quite frequently AND you have the space, you could drop the Whammy snug next to the Fly Rig. Tuner should go right above it. Because you're using a Waza Craft version, go straight into the tuner, then into your volume. The rest... not my department. Ricochet can fit basically anywhere.

You know, Jim, it constantly surprises me when I hear you like bands that seem so obscure. Do you happen to know any other good bands around that genre (or even close to Einsturzende)?

And i'd love to get a more articulated reply from you then that, but i'm so jet-lagged... I have finals on Tuesday as well, so hooray to me, I guess.

What he was doing is essentially what every other worship guitarist does, if not less. I'd get it he were working in a church like my own and still learning, but someone of his calibre? I find it inexcusable. My critique (or two cents), a bombastic artist knows how to use few effects to great and wonderful degree without seeming flat.

Ever heard of Hozier? I love his acoustic playing, mainly because his style is to my liking. It's not the best example, but I know it off the top of my head that even though his finger-style is predicatble, he still manages to sound different. In a live concert, I always hear someone trying o sound a bit different for each song.

That's the problem, though. He sounded the same on all songs.

It appears I didn't make myself clear. wait, I think I just said it wrong. I like when artists ise a lot of effects, but I also understand when they need to be minimalistic. But that's only on effects. Playing wise, i'm saying he wasn't very bombastic. He's too predictable and boring. Like I said, simple arpeggios and a bit of chord strumming. What's the point of making music if everything you do is just within your comfort zone?

. As for the Kemper, I just don't like the idea of skipping out on actual amps for a clone.

Wait, did I mention he was running his guitar straight into a Kemper? He has a controller to go with it. I find it kind of shameful because his array of sounds is either clean arpeggios or strumming with a bit of overdrive, BUT SO LITTLE!!

Wait, here's an idea!

Slap a Saturnworks Volume pedal at the beginning of your chain.

Adjust it according to your sound engineer until you can find the loudest you can be.

Duct tape that shit so it doesn't move.

Add good volume pedal like that Korg or something after it.

Bam. Toe position is at good level and you can still use that Korg for your sweeps or whatever.

(Or you can use your volume knobs like a normal bassist, but that's not the point of this thread).

Anyways, I don't think the gain can go below unity. It's either 100% or boosting. For below unity... I'm thinking of those Saturnworks pedals, but i'm not sure anyone makes a volume pedal that goes below unity on the toe position AND has all the features you mentioned, Boom.

My bet is on the Ernie Ball MVP Pedal. It's an active pedal with a minimum and gain level knobs as well as a tuner output with no tone suck. I'm planning on getting my own. I like that gain knob...

Hey, guys! So after four pancakes and several more hours of sleep, i'm somewhat acclimated to the island. Humidity isn't too bad, there's wind to compensate. So far, so well.

Gchiaren and the like, it seems we can make leeway for wathes, cars, etc because they do seem to have interesting backgrounds and such. Of course, there's a line to draw and most of us complain about what's past that line. Spam, Coka Cola, Ps4, etc. Utterly and completely useless.

Two things to note here:

1) No, Gorillaz characters shouldn't. They're not real except for Albarn. Put all that gear with Damon. Also, any gear featured in the cartoon videos is subject to question (but that's just my impulse talking, since most gear in cartoon videos are misrepresented).

2) Caps, shows, Coke, trash it all. We established this long ago.

I can only guess fender feels like they're losing a lot of market share. To be honest, the only new Fender amps I see selling out of stores around here are Blues Juniors, the Hot Rod amps and Deluxe Reverb Reissues.

Maybe it has something to do with aesthetics? Or perhaps how many famous artists use these amplifiers? Just a thought, really. Look at the pros on this site who've been spotted with these amps. Deluxe Reverbs are widely used by pros, and the Hot Rod Deville series is used just as widely.

But like I said, just a thought.

Edit: If the Blues Juniors are selling, i'm betting it has the same marketing scheme as the Tiny Terror: Fantastic sound, small enclosure (not so much for the Junior, but still fairly small), and "no-frills". Extremely simple to handle. I wouldn't call this regression, but in a way, perhaps people are favouring less effects and more tone.

On the topic of all these duplicates and such, i'd like to point out that it's become a nuisance to see multiple string models with different gauges on the site. It seems that they're very much like the color and year that people sometimes put on guitars that I would submit as duplicates.

My 2 cents, merge all items where there are different string gauges for the same model into just one item where the string gauge can be listed in the description. Not too much thought or work (well, now that I think about it, trying to delete all the duplicates would prove tiring) to do here.
