Well, I do, for the most part. If I remember correctly, a buffer simply converts high impedance to low impedance. You put it after drives and long cables because all of that is high inpedance lowers the quality of your signal.

What I was saying is that I don't usually go looking for buffers as much as I do for drives and reverbs and etc.

To be honest, I don't know. I've never looked too much into buffers. I know Empress makes a buffer with an effects loop, and a Plus version with a line boost and I think a sort of noise gate. Big Ear NYC has a buffer in a mini enclosure. ths1smyne and Visual Sound make tiny buffers, Emerson makes on with jacks on one side of a mini enclosure, and I can't think of anything else.

It's not their quality. I personally am against the company due to Scott's afdiliation with IHOPKC. I'd advise you to read up on it. It's just a bit distasteful to me and that it took until recently for Scott to say anythong about it.

If you lot care to know, I moved from 11-49 to 11-56. Amazingly... it feels lighter! Much easier to maneuver the strings.

Also replaced the 3/4" spring with a 1". I no longer have to worry about the trem arm being in my way because before, it was just low enought that picking on the higher register would cause me to bump the arm. Now, I can pick without touching it. A little more tension, and I don't need to worry about the arm hitting the body too much.

Zach Neese, got it. I appreciate the offer, but I'm not partial to audiobooks. Tried once, felt wrong. I can snag a new one for $10 and get it Monday.

Most of my friends from church grew up Catholic in that sort of atmosphere, but I can't relate. I did once go to that type of church... So strange. It's almost robotic. After that, I was happy to be back at my church.

As for playing with feeling, the lead guitarist in my band explained it something like this: When joining a church band, you have three paths: A Rock Star, a Worshipper, and a combination of the two. The Rock Star plays for himself and forgets that he's there to worship. A Worshipper doesn't know shit about music. He's the guy with the acoustic guitar who'll sing his heart out a bit out of key and strum the guitar a bit while failing to finger a G chord.

The combination is one whose practised enough that playing is second-hand and worship can be done seamlessly. You're in an unfortunate gray area. I can't say for sure, but I don't think you have a problem with worshipping. You just need to practise more and become comfortable with how you play rather than being anxious about what you play and whether people approve.

Glad you're back again! And yeah, I frgot to mention how ridiculously big and heavy the case alone is. I just remembered, if you have a big enough case, you could probably pull this DIY off really well. It's a guide on installing wheels on the case so you can move it around easily.

It is because church bands are used to playing in their own church for free. Damn... come to think of it, I'd feel weird being paid to play anywhere else just because you lose that care for money.

Speaking of feeling like a rock star, my favourite gig... can't really remember when it was. Maybe a year ago? Everything just went smoothly, we played some really emotional songs at our own church and everybody just felt emotionally exhausted afterwards. I love playing for my church, partly just for the fun, but because I'm taught on how to be humble about it. It's incredibly hard, but It's really similar to what everyone calls "serving the song" rather than just playing for yourself. I'm still learning, though.

One of the guys left a brand new Fender bass in some old van belonging to my crackhead's singer's friend. No idea what happened, but he drove ofd and I think he's in jail or rehab last I heard. No word from him or any family.

In other news, I'm finally going to see what all the hype is around the Fulltone OCD. That paired with the Deucetone Rat whcih I've finally come to terms with (channel A, high gain chug, channel B, medium gain, but cleans up well if need be).

Let's see what's on the need list: Keeley Caverns for delay and reverb, some tremolo, power supply, and Pedaltrain Metro, I think.
