new electro song in 5/4 (some of it
I couldn't really appreciate this from a musically educated standpoint, but I have to say, it stands in near stark contrast to your pop sounds from before. A lot darker, but still digging the groove.

Shit, I was just watching the news now, It's fucking insane how bad these riots are... I wonder what their end goal is, anarchy?
On a side note, the initial econ crisis scare following the election has done an about face. I'm glad at the very least, the conomy willy probably flourish due to Trump's business expertise.

I am utterly shocked and joyful to find my Gamecube alive and in one piece buried under some old rubble in the attic. I got Smash Melee and Pikmin. I'm going to have a nostalgic weekend

So, the Phillipines has a mutual defense treaty with the US that they somehow updated significantly despite Duterte's disdain of Obama in 2014. Honestly, this is just a strange string of events happening now, It's so wierd.
Any of you guys know how significant this treaty with the Phillipines is?

Good to know about VST's, I'll keep that in mind. Anyways, it looks like I've had a stroke of good luck! A shop called Unique Squared was selling mint condition P-45's, but I wanted to know if they were floor models or previously owned or what.
Turns out they ran out of mint versions and forgot to change the listing. Because of this, they're willing to honor the listing by selling me a brand new P-45 with the $60 discount. That means I need to save and fairly quickly!
Hey, thanks for the help, guys.

Sounds good... P-85 doesn't seem to be very different from the 45, plus I can snag a floor model for $390. Still, the Piaggero series of Yamaha pianos are there as well. The NP-32 goes for $280 brand new. Also, like I said, not worried about lugging and it's only ever going to be used in an actual live setting with a single speaker.
Thank you for the input, Jim.

Once again, I find myself taking a quick look at the articles and find you guys at EquipBoard HQ made a great article on digital pianos. Anyways, I've been thinking about doing piano lessons since I have an open slot on Saturdays to do an extra instrument for free! Might be a good use of my time. So, if possible, some help with more options would be greatly appreciated.
Basically, I'm approaching piano as I would an amplifier (or guitar). Basic essentials, maybe a few features. All I needs is the following:
- 76 or 88 keys (weighted or hammer-action)
- Phone output and/or output jack (both MUST be 1/4" output jack)
- Speakers... good ones
- Sounds. All I'm interested is a standard piano sound. An extra 10 sounds like strings or organ are welcome, but that's all.
- Effects optional. One with just a reverb would be great, but again, optional
- Portability, sort of. I don't mind lugging heavy weight
- Metronome is a bonus
- Polyphony is not worrying to me
I've been looking at the Korg SP-170s, but that only has an 1/8" phone output. I saw the Yamaha P-45, which has one output jack that's a 1/4". I'm sure this should suffice. Finally, the Kawai ES100 which is very pricey, but still noted. Finally, the Yamaha NP-32 which has everything I need, but is Graded Soft Touch. I'm not sure this will be too much of a hindrance to me, but I'm no piano expert.
Anyways, thanks, guys!

I'm only interested now in seeing how the relationship between the U.S. and Russia will change.
~
"Nov 9 Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday Russia was ready to fully restore relations with the United States following the election of businessman Donald Trump as the new U.S. president."
Only a few hours ago. Very interesting times indeed...

Missing pedals...
- Boss OS-2
- Boss Combo Drive (not looper, which has 3 or less knobs)
Not sure about the black pedal or the other Boss pedal next to the black pedal.

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!
Just today, I sent a message to OBNE asking about the new version of pedals. Fairly short answer, but it feels so odd knowing the guy who makes all these pedals and Coffee and Riffs videos and all that replied to me.
I might just fire a few messages just to see what happens. Hopefully, everyone prefers Facebook because it's the only social media I don't entirely hate.

The Xotics are good for folks ike that who might adjust their tone every song etc
Unlikely.
Lowest I'm seeing is $100. Guess I'll have to wait it out for a few months (or until I have to play again).

Lucky you. It's surprising to me that a pedal with such good tone is going for so cheap. I guess it gets circulated a lot, or people don't like it?

Passed by a Guitar Centre today. Tried out a Seymour Duncan 805, a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive MOD, a Keeley Katana, and a BB Preamp. Hated the 805. Katana wasn't all it's cracked up to be. Any pushed sound just kinda falls apart. Sparkle Drive was pretty good, but I didn't get as much time to fool around with it. Also, the mods just didn't appeal to my ears.
But the BB Premp. Wow... I spent a good time tweaking around with this pedal and I'm just amazed at how great this thing sounds. The gain is incredibly versatile (from clean or pushed boost to distortion).
I think I might buy one new just to spend some more time with it and return it buy used...
Is that an asshole move? It kinda feels like it all of a sudden.

Answered above.
Could someone please change this submission from the Boss Blues Driver to the Keeley Modified Blues Driver?
Also, change this submission to this item.

You already posted in the Suggestions thread, so no need to make a whole new thread.
Unfortunately, no there isn't (at least that I've seen). What'd you forget?

"Damn, a tiny mark that's only visible under a microscope. Better call a luither!"
Wonder if anyone was anal enough to gig a guitar to hell while still repairing every small mark and such... That'd be something scary to look at.

Won't be on a computer for most of today. Other mods here might help before I do.

Just read the online description. Looking forward to your full review, though.
Wonder what it'd be like to have some headphones for a change.

Beats by Dre.
I already sold an arm for a new phone. I'd rather keep my leg, but thank you nevertheless.

Welp, I've had a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-CKX9 headphones for a little under half a year and an ear already blew out. There's some more money wasted.
Fuck... Still hated the way it felt on my ear, so I guess it's a relief to know I won't be using them much anymore. You guys wouldn't happen to know any good earphones for pleasure listening while still keeping sound quality high?
Edit: Some weird shit happening with my computer. Earphones working again. Still getting ear fatigue.
9yover 9 years ago
Maybe, but I'm fairly comfortable the way I have. Maybe it's long arms or something to that effect, but I don't have to bend my wrist too much.

Ah, yes... Ovation. Whnever I got to Guitar Center nowadays, I either look for a Martin 000-15m or an Ovation Celebrity. I hate how it feels, and the very few times I played it yielded a bad sound, but I just love the aesthetic...
Lol I need my guitar or bass at least Trujillo low

I'd be more comfortable with a convex back. That one looks like it'll push into your stomach too much.

That body shape is fairly pleasant to look at.

Thing I love about the Vox is turning up the volume when playing live provides most of the necessary gain (usually only needing a OD just to get a bit more crunch).
If you're wondering, the Katana was more of an afterthought for when I need I need to play through a super clean amp sim. It sure looks like the "leave it on all the time" type of pedal. Somwthing which the Vox is already capable of.
Speaking of, did you ever finish up that MiDi rig?
9yover 9 years ago
I believe there are other plans going on with the electric guitars soon enough... Not sure, though. A Mesa Cab Clone sounds good, but Glenn Fricker makes it sound like crap. Anderton isn't helping much either. Two Notes sounds like a good alternative, though, but not now.
Yeah, Satellite overdrive, Black Fountain delay... That's it. There's a tuner as well, and the loop station that'll stay home. Pretty good.
9yover 9 years ago
A few hours ago, I found out my Blackstar HT Dual sold. I'm quite surprised! Anyways, I've racked up enought monies to a new, more streamlined rig. I was thinking of getting a Keeley Katana, but I'll save that for later. I need more gain on tap for right now which is why I am starting with a Magnetic Effects Satellite Overdrive now. I'll have a bit of leftover money I can save for when I get some other materials.
Also, within a month, the wood on the back of my pedalboard has made half its progress in peeling off.

Posted 40 minutes ago... It's 0630 and I just woke up not feeling terribly tired. Probably just the espresso, I'll gp back to bed.
Thanks, guys.

Yeah, I just started to read your thing and I panicked because I don't know what a dutch oven is.
Or a food processor.

I wasn't really given many chances to actually cook. Mom just did it on her own, as did my dad. Both my sisters know how to cook, but that was out of necessity due to the sudden reality of living alone doing something like eating ramen noodles everyday or something of the sort.
Hell... I'll do it tomorrow morning when I come home from work. No point putting it off.

It's a knockoff of a 345 with the varitone. Saw it on Reverb for $1k. Looks pretty cool to me. Never tried a 345, though. Really want to.
Never been a good cook. I really should cook more because in a few years I'll be in a college and I'll probably end up like this:

Midterms coming up soon. Gonna sticky this recipe until the end of next week.

Gear porn indeed...
Also, Jim, I didn't know you cooked! Maybe I'll try that recipe sometime.
