The ‘Wal Pro2E Bass’ was the instrument used by Nick Beggs back in the 1980’s and was used in the recording of the 1983 No1 hit, Too Shy as well as various other tracks on both the ‘White Feathers’ and ‘Islands’ albums.

I use SWR, Ashdown Electronic amps. Korg toneworks processors and Roland V-Bass and VG8 guitar synths midied for my stick and basses. I have a Musicman Stingray a Wal 5 string. A Fender fretless Jazz. A Tanglewood acoustic which is so good I still cant believe it.
It appears that Nick sold several basses at this time, including his old pre Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay, his 2 white Vigier Arpege’s and of course the Wal pro2E.
Then the melody strings go to a Fender Tonemaster which is a valve head and then a 4 x 12 Fender Tonemaster cab.
The synths go through a Roland KC 500 stereo Keyboard amp.
