On Twitter, a Noisia fan asks them: "i'm a big fan of yours and i make neurofunk. What hardware you think is essential to expand creativity and producing? :-)"

Noisia replies: "a reliable computer, either good speakers&room or good headphones. That's all you need, the rest is luxury." (tweet link here)

Another fan then asks Noisia: "any recommended cans? my room is tiny and I don't have the capability of acoustic treatment :)"

Noisia replies: "@audeze lcd-2 will probably outperform every speaker & room treatment at the same pricepoint once you're used to it"

When the fans lament the high price of the headphones, Noisia goes on to say, "what do serious speakers & a good room cost though?"

Noisia's Nik Roos responds to a question about what DAW he started with. he explains that he started on FL Studio when he was 14.

In an Instagram post by Thysmusic, Noisia shares an update on creating 14 new tracks using Ableton Live.

In an interview with Musicradar, Nik Roos of Noisia discusses their use of iZotope Trash 2, highlighting it as part of their sound design toolkit alongside other plugins like FabFilter Pro-C and Pro-Q.

In this interview Noisia say: "For drums we like to use Superior Drummer as well as one-hit sample libraries or even synth-based drums."

"I know it's not a synth as such, but Superior Drummer is massively important to our sound. As is the Kontakt sampler."

"I've been using Adam monitors for years, but I've just switched over to ATC SCM110s."

In a Vimeo video, Thijs of Noisia plays with Molekular as he produces a new track.

Thijs' video of a "metallic scraping ambient" tune begins on a shot of the ALM-001 before focusing on other parts of his modular synthesis setup.

At 17:21, Martijn of Noisia states that the particular bass sound was made in Razor.

From a MusicRadar interview with Noisia, Noisia talk us through their individual production setups and side projects:

"There's a really cool new feature in Cubase where you can render in place. There are probably [other] sequencers that have that feature, but in Cubase it's so cool that, with one shortcut, you can now bounce some audio, a synth or something, and you can choose whether you bounce it dry or with the effects or the channel routing. The best thing is that you can set it to automatically mute or delete the original track, and we generally have it set to bounce the audio with the effects but keep the routing. If I don't have a certain plugin, before loading the project here, I can ask Thijs to render a synth and I can still open a project and use the same routing without having to run that specific synth, which is really handy."

Martijn: ""[Laughs] I secretly use the OTT [Xfer's freeware compressor] but Nik and Thijs don't really approve of the way I use it! "

At 0.38 Nik can be seen with the LCD-X, which is on the bottom left on the videoclip.

"Just because you use Trash, FabFilter Pro-C and Pro-Q, it doesn't automatically mean you'll get the sound of Noisia."

In an advanced production AMA on reddit, Noisia was asked:-

'Have you gotten any new hardware or software that you've been really getting a lot of mileage out of? What are some of your favorites?"

To which they responded:-

"Serum is a great new synth. Also the Crane Song Avocet is getting a lot of mileage. Got a sub-37 and a big modular, messing with analog synths is awesome."

Someone on Redit asked what plugins does Noisia use "favorite go to saturation? favorite go to stereo widener?" replied back saying "saturator - SDRR, trash 2, u-he satin, Waves NLS, Guitar Rig etc stereo widener - pro-q 2 to boost specific sections of the side signal, ozone 6 imager & exciter, trash 2, reverbs like Valhalla Room, etc"

"It can do. For creative compression, we mostly use plugins like Melda's MCompressor, which is really cool because you can draw the curve yourself. "

In their MusicRadar interview, Nik, when asked what software other than Cubase he uses says: "Most of it happens inside Cubase. Outside of that, there isn't that much, other than Audacity to grab some stuff or PaulStretch for time-stretching things."

"Komplete 9 gives me plenty to play with, and FM8 has become something of a Noisia regular."

"The Launch Control is a nice minimal addition," [Thijs] says. "We needed some knobs for effects, but didn't want to take a huge unit.”
