Angus Young's Guitars
Some of his favorites are early ’68 Gibson SG which had the fret inlays modified to the lightning bolts, and a selection of early to late 1960’s SG’s.

In this video Angus Young discusses his journey and approach to playing the guitar. He started by observing his brothers and emulating rock and roll records. He also talks about his early influences, including blues artists and rock and roll pioneers and demonstrates different guitar techniques on a Gibson SG Junior 60's Electric Guitar.

This was used by Angus on his Back in Black Tour but after a while didn't like the extra pick up and had it taken out. He also had a whammy bar equipped to the guitar. He then painted it black and had a large square chuck taken out the back to put his wireless pack in. In January 2016 during the Rock or Bust tour his guitar was fixed so he no longer had a square pack in it.

his guitar was built in 1981 by UK guitar luthier John Diggins, and it was presented to Angus just prior to the Monsters of Rock concert in Donington that same year. Angus obviously liked the guitar since he ended up using it for the gig in Donington. The guitar featured mahogany body and neck, lightning flash inlays, white biding on neck and headstock, gold-plated hardware, and two Jaydee Hooligan pickups.
As arguably the most iconic SG player of all time, it makes sense that Gibson would give Angus Young of AC/DC a signature SG. The Angus Young Signature was modeled on the SGs of the mid-to-late '60s, complete with larger style pickguard and lyre vibrato. Uses a '57 Classic and an Angus Young Signature Humbucker
The Angus Young Signature SG introduced in 2000, was fittingly the first ever artist signature SG model. While not a direct copy of any particular SG that Angus used, it was styled generally after the 1966-1971 Batwing style SGs Angus played most often in his early career. However, one feature was inspired by a specific SG of his; the neck profile of his very first SG, which was very thin. The body design was borrowed from the contemporary SG Standard. Earlier examples tend to be lighter in color and more brownish-red, while later examples are darker. This model was discontinued in 2008.
In 2010, two new Angus Young Signature SGs were introduced. Again, the USA model was not based directly on any one SG Angus owns, but an amalgamation of features from several. However, the Custom Shop model was a direct replica of a circa 1970 SG Standard (Gibson incorrectly calls it a '68 and implies it was his first SG, which it wasn't) that Angus had almost entirely rebuilt by JayDee guitars in 1984, with distinctive lightning bolt inlays. This became his number one guitar for the Who Made Who tour, and was frequently used on the Stiff Upper Lip and Black Ice tours as well. However, while the original likely features the stock T-Tops, the Gibson replica features Seymour Duncans similar to what Angus uses in his other SGs on recent tours.
this guitar has been used in the new power up album, and possibly other albums too.
Brian Ray posts, "Reposting this excellent shot of Angus Young playing the new Gibson Brian Ray '63 SG at AC/DC's recent show in Prague. I'm beyond blow away."
His backup is a 1970 SG Custom that he used on the Back in Black world tour during the early ’80s. The guitar originally had a natural walnut finish, was loaded with three humbuckers, and had a Maestro vibrato. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5C7GKGxICg

This is Angus Young's go to guitar. He uses it on just about all of his tours along with some other SG's. It is a 1965 Gibson SG, originally red with vibrola, but then it was painted black. Recently he used this guitar on the Rock or Bust tour.
Angus Young is associated with the 1964 SG Standard Reissue with Maestro Vibrola, as highlighted in the Long & McQuade listing for the Gibson Angus Young Signature SG.

In the YouTube video by André Heiji Kozuma, it is clarified that Angus Young's main touring guitar is not a 1967 model but a Gibson 1963 Les Paul SG Custom Reissue with a Maestro Vibrola. The video includes a serial number check, providing detailed evidence of the specific guitar model he uses.
The 1970s Ibanez Les Paul Jr was used by guitarist Angus Young as an onstage backup guitar during AC/DC's early pub rock days. This guitar, originally belonging to Angus, is now in the possession of one of their cousins, as confirmed by Tony Guitar Nerd on Instagram.
