Brian Tatler's Gear
On the official Diamond Head page it's clearly mentioned that Brian uses a ENGL Screamer 50 head. It's further confirmed by this image. https://cdn.gemtracks.com/img/artist/24308.jpg
Brian appears to be playing a Gibson Flying V Pro T in this music video from the Coffin Train album. He can also be seen playing it during Diamond Head shows, like at Hellfest in 2019.
Brian Tatler is seen playing a Gibson Les Paul Standard with a sunburst finish and all stock hardware in a photo from the Headbangers Open Air 2014 event, available on Wikimedia.
In the early ’80s, I had the white Gibson Flying V, which is always my main guitar, and that would be going into a Morley Power Wah Boost and a Marshall – probably an early Master Volume JMP-1 from ’77. Lightning to the Nations is recorded with just that – it was all we had.
White 70's Flying V. I'm assuming all stock electronics but I'm not sure.
As per the link from official Diamond Head page Brian uses a Marshall 1960 Lead cab which is known by the name 1960A or 1960B. In this image it's an angled cab hence it's clear that he uses the Marshall 1960A cab loaded with Celestion G12T-75 speakers. https://cdn.gemtracks.com/img/artist/24308.jpg
This was his original amp and he can be seen using it in this video. The traits that differentiate this amp from the Marshall JMP 1959 Super Lead is that it had rocker switches. However unlike the 1978 to 1981 era Marshall JMP 1959 Mk II Super Lead this amp it has chrome inputs.
As mentioned in the official page of Diamond Head, Brian also owns a Marshall JCM2000, and the picture in this link confirms that it's a JCM2000 DSL100 amp head. https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/TSwHZ3aNGJJUHbZyVxarMH-1200-80.jpg
As mentioned on the official Diamond Head page, Brian owns a Cornford MK50H.
As seen in the picture, Brian uses a vertical input JCM800 2203 amp head. This is further confirmed on the official Diamond Head website wherein it's mentioned that he uses a JCM800 among other amps. https://www.diamondheadofficial.com/copy-of-profile-rasmus
As mentioned on the official Diamond Head website, he owns a Marshall 1960AV 4x12" guitar cab loaded with Marshall G12 Vintage speakers.
On the video you can see the Kemper Profiler standing on stage.
In this excerpt from "Diamond Head - The Story So Far...", it states that Brian Tatler's first guitar was a Stratocaster.
