So I usually just run an overdrive and I always have a Big Muff and a tuner and that’s pretty much my whole setup. The Big Muff is a new one and all I need it to do is sustain my notes.
Brittany played a custom SG in The Alabama Shakes' performance at the 2014 New Orleans Jazz Festival.

“I have a ’66 Harmony Rocket that I am in love with. It’s cherry red. I play it out of a ’66 Silvertone 1483 with an intact Jensen 12? speaker. It can glitter, it can growl, it can rock, it can lull you to sleep. So far, it’s the perfect rig," Brittany says, in this interview.

In this live performance of Always Alright, Howard can be seen using a Supro semi-hollow body guitar. Based on the 1966 Supro catalogue (viewable here) this can be identified as a Carlisle by its combination of a vibrolo tailpiece, two humbuckers, and large square fretboard inlays.
The cool thing about those Roland Space Echos is they all sound different and they all have their own quirks. The one I have made my amp sound even cooler and colored the tone in a great way. Tape tends to do that, but it made my amp sound a bit glassy, twangy, and even bumps the bass a little.
In Howard's interview with Premier Guitar, her gear is listed. One of the pedals listed is the ZVex Mastotron.
Brittany's Tiny Terror TT15 amp head can be seen at 0:42 in this video.

In the Alabama Shakes' song "Dunes," Brittany Howard utilizes the Moog Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Modulator, notably heard as the ring mod frequency emerges through a high-pass filter towards the end. This detail is discussed in the Laconic Coolitude article on their album "Sound and Color."

In this live video, she is playing a Kent Videocaster. From the video, there is no Kent logo on the head, but based on the knobs on the body and the characteristics of the pickup, it seems to be a Videocster.
