Calvin answered a tweed by DJ White Pepper regarding what he used to record the guitar for 'Outside'. He tweeted back with This Photo of his sansamp classic. He also used a Gibson SG Custom.

you can see in this frame of his '360 Session Interview' video he had a Wine Red Gibson Les Paul Studio on the floor. However, he no longer owns this guitar anymore and has since upgraded to 2 Les Paul Customs.

Calvin Harris uses the Roland SH-201 Synthesizer in his studio, as shown in a post on his Instagram account.

"I remember going totally over the top with the Akai S950 – I managed to get it off this bloke in Carlisle for 200 quid."

In a twitter Q&A someone asked him what his favorite mic to record vocals is. His answer was the Neumann U47. Calvin is a Neumann collector of sorts, he has about 2 of every Neumann microphone, in some cases, he has had 3 or 4 of the same microphone. The Neumann U87/U87AI in this case.
