On Collings' website, O'Brien is visible with Collings SJ. It says : "Conan O'Brien "on set" with his custom inlaid Collings SJ." O'Brien used this guitar on his "Conan" show for "Something Else", which he played with Slash and Jeff Bridges. Rolling Stone hosted this video.

O'Brien used the Slash signature Les Paul for his guitar battle with Jack Black. Ironically, Slash played O'Brien's guitar parts in this battle.
