Dave Mustaine likely used various Marshall JCM800 2203 amp heads during the recording of Megadeth's first three to four albums. According to GroundGuitar, he paired these amps with DeCuir Cabinets featuring Celestion speakers.

According to Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick, he and Dave Mustaine have nearly identical live rigs. At (7:51), he says, “Right now, we're running straight into…into Marshall cabinets loaded with the Vintage 30s. It's just your traditional thrash setup. That's what we're out here to do, so we're doing it.”

These amps were designed in part with Line 6 and Dave Mustaine. There were digital amps based on a 1967 Marshall Plexi. It has 4 channels; Clean, Signature (based on his own tone), Megadrive, and Plexi. It also comes with built-in effects.

This amp was used on United Abominations, and the following tour, until he switched to Marshall amps.

So on to Th1rt3en, what did you use amp-wise? ** For the rhythms it was a mix of the Diezel VH4** and the Bogner Uberschall. It was a very good combination. I felt they complimented each other really well. And for the leads it was just the Bogner Uberschall. Those were [producer] Johnny K’s amps and those were amps that he really liked. When we looked at how those amps sounded in the mix, they definitely fit the sound the best out of all the amps we had.

In 2009, Dave wanted a gnarlier and more thrash looking cab with a more aggressive sound, so he invented this, which is basically a modified 1960 4x12 cabinet, as it still contains vintage 30's and is the same size, but in terms of looks and sound delivery, it is a brand new sound that Dave was looking form finished in carbon fiber for extra speed!
