Greg Koch's Gear
Greg Koch's Tone is most well defined by his early 90's Fender Vibrolux. This Fender amplifier reissue is one of the hardest to find due to limmited production, but a few pop up for sale occasionaly on the internet. Greg's Vibrolux is the standard Vibrolux curcit, however this particular model did not have bright switches on the front pannel. The exterior load-out included two 10-inch speakers and a blonde tolex finish. Greg Can be seen at the link provided using his Vibrolux in a demo video for Jam Pedals.
According to Maxon's website, Koch uses the Maxon OD808 overdrive pedal.

This succulent Morsel of the Night, is the Tele I have been seen lurking around the world with since the summer of '15. It is a Fender Custom Shop, Wildwood 10, '55 Tele outfitted with my new, Fishman Fluence Gristle-Tone pickups. Like all Wildwood 10's it has a 10" radius and 6105 frets on a quarter sawn, maple neck. This guitar's body is made out of very light swamp ash and the color is faded Fiesta Red. It screams like a banshee in heat...Dig it!!!
Greg Koch's First signature Guitar with Fender was done in a limmited run of 40. This limmited run included Greg Koch's Signature "Gristlecaster". (The Strat version and the Tele version share the same name) The link provided shows an article interview with Greg talking about his 'Gristlecaster" and what its specs are.

At The Copenhagen Guitar Show 2016, Greg Koch is seen using the T. Jaurnig Gristle King overdrive pedal, a staple in his setup known for its "Triple Gristle" reincarnation as of 2017.
In an article on Guitar.com titled "Greg Koch - Rhymes with Chalk," Greg Koch is mentioned as having previously used the Fulltone Full-Drive2 Mosfet, among other Fulltone pedals.
Greg has been using his own signature "Gristle" Pedals for many years. This Pedal includes a clean boost, fuzz, and of course the iconic Gristle Overdrive tone that we all know and love from Greg's Albums. In the earlier days of the Tone Controls Greg used a Fender Super Reverb. He can often be seen sswitching between a blackface and silverface version of the amplifier. The Super Reverb Includer a Normal and Vibrato Channel, Bright Switches, Spring Revrb, and Tremolo. The exterior loadout includer four 10" Speakers and a black tolex finish. Greg can be seen in the video link live at the Mountian Troll playing through a Fender Blackface Super Reverb.
Greg Koch has been working with Fret King Guitars in order to manufacture Greg's own Signature Telecaster. Although as of currently (2018) the guitar has not yet been released and Greg is the owner of the current prototype. The Guitar will come in a Sonic Blue finish and it will also be loaded with Greg's signature Fluence Pickups. In the Link provided Greg can be seen playing his Fret King telecaster prototype live.

Greg Koch is known for using a '57 Fender Telecaster, as showcased in a video by Wildwood Guitars during NAMM 2013. This guitar features a Swamp Ash body, a custom '56 V-shaped flame maple neck, and a distinctive "mother of toilet seat" pickguard. It is equipped with Fender Abigail Ybarra-wound pickups, although a Duncan humbucker was installed at one point. The guitar includes a push-pull bottom tone control for a unique bridge and neck pickup combination and middle tone control for out-of-phase settings, reminiscent of Albert King's tone. Additional specs include an American Standard bridge with a resistor cap mod on the volume control, 22 jumbo frets with a 9.50" radius, Sperzel locking tuners, and gold hardware.

Greg Koch rcently released his new signature Koch amplifier as of earlier this year (2018). The Amp is an all tube guitar combo amplifier with built in Spring Reverb, OTS circut, Tremolo, and early 60's brown era Fender Harmonic Vibrato. The Amp also Includes a Clean Channel (With Boost) and an OD Channel (With Boost). The Speaker layout includes two 10-inch speakers (Vibrolux style). In this demo for guitar center Greg uses a pair of fishman classic humbuckers. He states that he uses these pickups in alot of his humbucker guitars
Greg Koch uses a Reverend Eastsider T, featuring his signature Fishman pickups. A signature model inspired by this guitar is currently in development.
