with Fromel Electronics Surpeme Mod kit installed
The Fromel mod fixes about 90% of the noise issues, greatly improves the reverb, and rounds out the overall tone making it less harsh. Recommended to take this amp from pretty good to great.

This Fender Hot Rod Series Blues Junior 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp is seen in use by blues guitarist and musician John Mayer during one of his many live performances.
"This Fender Vibrolux Reverb (Custom Shop) is from the private collection of Billy Corgan.
Given the lack of road wear, this amp was likely used for recording and writing.
This Vibrolux is in great condition, with not real blemishes or signs of hard road life. You can still see Corgan's settings marked with silver marker lines on the dials. The tolex and grill are in fantastic shape.
This is a 40W 2X10 designed by the Fender Custom Shop. Both inputs on both channels work perfectly, with all the pots in good working order. The reverb and tremolo sound delicious. This amp will ship with the original footswitch included. This appears to be all-orignal without replacement parts or mods."
"I used a Fender Custom Vibrolux and a Fender Vibro-King—I often had them linked—and I also sometimes had a Fender Bassman linked in with the Vibro-King"
In this Instagram photo posted by Bruno Mars, some of his gear can be seen, including his Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb-Amp Combo (posted Jan 2015).
A Reverb listing identifies this Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb-Amp Combo as being owned by Brian Setzer.
In the video titled "Philip Sayce - Steamroller/Love Is A Powerful Thing - 2019 Mediterranean KTBA Cruise," Philip Sayce is seen using the Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb-Amp Combo around the 4:05 mark.
Greg Koch's Tone is most well defined by his early 90's Fender Vibrolux. This Fender amplifier reissue is one of the hardest to find due to limmited production, but a few pop up for sale occasionaly on the internet. Greg's Vibrolux is the standard Vibrolux curcit, however this particular model did not have bright switches on the front pannel. The exterior load-out included two 10-inch speakers and a blonde tolex finish. Greg Can be seen at the link provided using his Vibrolux in a demo video for Jam Pedals.
An interview originally published in a 1993 issue of Guitar Player magazine states that, 'Richard Lloyd still plays the same '61 Stratocaster with jumbo frets that he played on Marquee Moon and Adventure, although he takes a '62 reissue Strat and Tele on the road. On the new album's "Rhyme", he played a rare black f-hole Gretsch. Lloyd tends a stable of vintage Fender amps, including a '50 Deluxe, a '52 Pro, a '55 Tremolux, and a '56 Princeton. He also uses a '59 Ampeg Jet, a Vibraverb reissue, and a '65 Supro. Live, he relies on Vox AC30s: "You can change the current wherever you are without a transformer, so they're good the world over, and they have a nice high-end bite." Save for a few dinosaur pedals, Lloyd avoids effects, citing the dangers of "processors that make your guitar sound like Velveeta." And though he's a diehard fan of amp distortion, he admits, "I'm always fighting to get a combination that won't really distort the tonality of the guitar, but will just give you the edge you're looking for." '
The reissue vibroverb mentioned can only be a garbled reference to the Fender Custom Shop hand-wired Vibrolux Reverb of the 90s which were very much in the spirit of the vibrolux and vibroverb amps of the original backface era though not precisely a reissue of either.
"And lately I've been playing a Fender Vibrolux amp because it’s way less obnoxious and it sounds very good and it’s very versatile."

This amplifier is part of his diverse gear lineup, which also includes endorsements from Bogner Amplification, Tom Anderson Guitarworks, Slickbag Guitarwear, Diezel Amplification, and Knaggs Guitars.
