Critic Reviews

T-Rex Gristle Pedals

soundonsound.com

The T-Rex Gristle King, an enhanced overdrive pedal, impresses with its versatility and boutique-quality sound, making it a strong contender for vintage tone enthusiasts. The pedal features multiple tonal permutations, thanks to its Phat and Flavor switches, offering a range from clean to bluesy raunch. The pre/post boost option adds flexibility, allowing for increased distortion or level for solos. While the pedal is priced in the premium range, its robust build and quiet circuitry justify the cost. Minor drawbacks include the potential for power supply issues and the inconvenient battery change process, but these are outweighed by its musicality and studio-friendly performance.

Tasty tone.

This greg koch pedal just about sums up its creator. From its unique names for things to its great boutique tone this is a players pedal. Just like some of the best pedals it is touch sensitive to how you attack, dig in and it breaks up, play light and it cleans right up. It is a very versatile pedal however, does seem to suit telecasters more than other guitars. This is most defiantly in my go to pedal list.
