John Sebastian's Gear
John Sebastian at one point owned a 1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop with Bigsby vibrato. He traded the guitar to Rick Derringer of the McCoys in 1965. The guitar would eventually be refinished in an SG red color and find its way into the hands of Beatles guitarist George Harrison, who named it "Lucy".
In this YouTube video, John can be seen playing the Marxophone on "She is Still A Mystery" on the Ed Sullivan Show.
