Jon Fratelli
Jon Fratelli's Guitars
During 2013. Fratelli used this Fender Telecaster 62 Reissue a lot. He performed many songs, including "Henrietta", "Chelsea Dagger" and "Baby Fratelli". Fratellis's set at Sziget festival 2013. includes many shots of this guitar.
Jon often used this Fender Classic Series '60s Telecaster Electric Guitar Olympic White for touring and recording. In 2016, Vice reported that this guitar was being sold on eBay. It was also revealed that the guitar was not in Fratelli's possession since 2008.
Well, it's very simple. See, the guitar was originally donated to the Meningitis Trust for a charity event back in 2008. We know this because the lister has uploaded a screengrab from The Meningitis Trust website to verify that it is, indeed, Jon Fratelli's guitar. So what has apparently happened is our seller went to a charity raffle for people who suffer from Meningitis, paid £2 for a ticket, left with a guitar donated for free by The Fratellis, then kept it in its case in a closet for eight years until the tenth anniversary of Costello Music arrived, at which point they listed it on eBay for ten grand.
Used by Jon on the "We need medicine" tour, he is seen here at the Sziget Festival in 2013 where he played "Whistle for the choir" on this Stratocaster.

Jon Fratelli uses the Fender Strat in songs such as 'Whistle for the Choir' and 'For the Girl' when performing on stage.
