Peter Tosh's Gear
With Bob's vocals and peter tosh's guitar and the other wailers the harmony is truly unbelievable .
This is the guitar played at the bbc studios where the wailers did "Stir It Up" .. Around 2:38 in the video you can see peter playing his solo on the les paul through a wah pedal
The M16 rifle Stratocaster guitar became a symbol for Tosh. His lyrics empowered people from Jamaica to Africa into fighting for their freedom, and not passively submitting to powerful authority. The M16 guitar didn't come into Tosh's life until late into his career, but it came to represent what the Bush Doctor had worked for his whole life: freedom and equality.
This guitar was used by Tosh from 1972 to mid-1973. It was Tosh's main guitar in the studio with The Wailers on Catch a Fire and Burnin and on stage on the Catch a Fire tour. It can famously be seen on The Old Grey Whistle Test performance of Stir it Up and Concrete Jungle in May of 1973. He also briefly used it at the beginning of the group's US tour for Burnin but was later either opted for the Ovation Breadwinner or was stolen from the tour bus (similar to Marley's Stratocaster). It's unknown where the guitar is currently.
Tosh can be seen in this photo playing a Gibson Les Paul Junior Double Cut.
This guitar was used by Tosh during The Wailers US tour for their Burnin album. It was first seen being used on video during the Capitol Records Rehearsal session and can be heard on both the Talkin Blues album and the Leeds Polytechnic concert on the bonus disc on the Burnin Deluxe CD.
He would keep this guitar until his death. He also used it on his first solo album "Legalize It" and can be seen using it on The Wailers 1974 and 1975 Reunion concerts, mainly the Dream Concert with Stevie Wonder

Peter used this Wah-Pedal throughout his career, first using it on The Wailer's album, Burnin' and its subsequent tour.
